Turkey’s Inflation Eases in November

Turkey’s consumer price inflation slowed for the fourth straight month in November.

Inflation eased to 7 percent in November from 7.16 percent in October. This was the lowest rate since May, when inflation was 6.58 percent.

Cost of alcoholic beverages showed the biggest annual growth of 22.6 percent. Transportation charges advanced 9.57 percent and clothing and footwear by 4.59 percent. At the same time, food prices rose only 3.55 percent.

CONSUMER PRICES GAINED 0.52 PERCENT IN NOVEMBER

On a monthly basis, consumer prices gained 0.52 percent in November.

Another report showed that producer price inflation rose sharply to 6.41 percent in November from 2.84 percent a month ago. Month-on-month, producer prices increased 2 percent in November.
