Detention warrants were issued for nearly 650 judges and prosecutors who were suspended temporarily by the Second Office of the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) on Aug. 10, as a part of the investigation into the structures, believed to be behind the July 15 failed coup attempt.

The warrants were issued for a total of 648 judges and prosecutors by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on Aug. 11, Hurriyet Daily reported.
